Alcoa Seems Bearish Trade In 2012 Options


Dow component Alcoa (NYSE: AA), the largest U.S. aluminum maker, is home to some bearish options trade in long-dated options as more than 25,000 of the January 2012 12.50 puts have were purchased earlier today.

The options trade was followed by the purchase of 975,000 shares of Alcoa, according to press reports, indicating the options trade was put on to hedge a long position in the stock.
