The medical device making company Medtronic
MDT announced today that it still expects to earn $0.79-$0.81 a share in fiscal Q1 ending July 30, 2010. Wall Street analysts had made a projection of an EPS of $0.84 for the quarter.
Medtronic expects its 2011 profit to be in the range of $3.45-$3.55 a share. This includes $0.05 a share of dilution due to Invatec’s takeover and the pending acquisition of ATS Medical
ATSI. Analysts have estimated MDT's earnings at $3.51 a share for 2011.
By 12:08 pm today, shares of Medtronic had plunged 2.05% to $37.3.
