Google Unveils Android 2.2 And Google TV (GOOG)

developers conference. The company unveiled Android 2.2 and Google TV. The company's VP of engineering, Vic Gundrota, said that Android=Freedom, and the operating system is compatible with over 60 devices and that there are 100,000 daily activations of Android devices. Android also now features 50,000 applications. Google TV was announced by Rishi Chandra, one of the Product Managers. The key elements of Google TV, include "less time finding, more time watching," and you will be able to "control and personalize what you watch." The company said that Google TV lets you search TV shows just like you would use Google Search.
