MGC Pharma Lands Distribution Deal With LYPHE, Expands To UK

MGC Pharmaceuticals MXC MGCLF, which recently bought Cannvalate's medicinal cannabis subsidiary for $1.4 million, struck a distribution deal with LYPHE Group.

Following the Australian market's debut, the Europe-based company opted to expand its footprint in the UK.

Under the deal, the London-based LYPHE agreed to prescribe and dispense MGC Pharma's Mercury Pharma line of products under LYPHE labels.

The initial shipment of MGC Pharma's medicinal cannabis products aimed to treat patients with epilepsy and dementia is already ordered by LYPHE, The West Australian reports.

It's also the largest single order of cannabinoid medicines for MGC Pharma in the country, the company confirmed. Products would be delivered directly to the end patient, once they are registered through LYPHE.

Furthermore, by teaming up with LYPHE, MGC Pharma would gain access to the network of more than 700 pharmacies, which the Greater Manchester-based company services.

LYPHE recently partnered with the UK's leaders in the supply of cannabinoid medicines, Eaststone.

Meantime, the ASX-listed bio-pharma company recently said its natural supplement ArtemiC is poised to help in the fight against COVID-19.

According to The West Australian, ArtemiC is lab-tested in Israel and is probed favorable in the treatment of the coronavirus infection.
