Australian News Reports Offer Evening Trading Opportunity

It is interesting to note the different aspects that make up seemingly similar news reports. For example, several countries divulge their Retail Sales or Retail Trade reports each month, but each country has their own set of guidelines as to what makes up that particular report.

One country may include groceries and automobiles, while another may not. One may include such things as diverse as newspapers and flowers, whereas another may have its report be broken down into very broad categories like food and beverages.

Australian Retail Sales represents the value of turnover of retail trade.

Another interesting report that is released monthly by most countries is the Trade Balance Report. This report tells the difference in the monetary value between what a country exports and imports.

Australia will release both its Retail Sales and its Trade Balance reports on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. EST. If either of these reports produce a higher than expected number it should be regarded as bullish for the AUD. If it is lower, it would be bearish for the AUD.

How To Trade These News Reports

You can use an Iron Condor strategy to trade these news reports. Using Nadex spreads and AUD/USD as your instrument, buy a lower spread and sell and upper spread both having an 11:00 p.m. expiration time.

You can enter as early as 6:00 p.m. and you want a minimum profit of $30. You can always increase the number of contracts if you want to increase your profits, but remember that also increases your risk.
