The latest tech-ups (technology upgrades) are going to make 2012 look like 1990. You may be unprepared for the almost ridiculous advancements in technology that are about to take over our lives, but here are three tech-ups to look forward to in the future.

4K

What could be clearer than full HD 1080p? 4K Ultra HD.

According to Sony (NYSE: SNE), you can “see more on TV than ever before with over 8 million individual pixels (3,840 x 2,160) compared to about 2 million (1,920 x 1,080) on your current HDTV. Advanced picture processing also ensures that each of those pixels displays images with superb brightness and authentic detail. It's the highest resolution picture... ever produced on a TV.”

In fact, the World Cup next year is likely to be a 4K event. Before then, you can enjoy the delights of a 84” 4K TV-- for just $25,000.00.

5G

What could be faster than 4G? 5G.

According to Samsung, “it has successfully developed the world’s first adaptive array transceiver technology operating in the millimeter-wave Ka bands for cellular communications. The new technology sits at the core of 5G mobile communications system and will provide data transmission up to several hundred times faster than current 4G networks.”

5G will be here in 2020. Skeptics abound, but we can hope.

Google Glass

According to Google (NASDAQ: GOOG), you can “say ‘take a picture’ to take a picture, record what you see hands free, share what you see live, speak to send a message, ask whatever’s on your mind, and translate your voice.” You just need Google Glass.

It even comes in different colors.

Ready or not, the future is here and now.
