Anyone who was looking for an extended pullback in Citigroup C has gotten it. The stock can be bought for under $4.50 during Monday's trading session. The shares are trading down 2.08% to $4.47. Citi shares have slid nearly 9% in just the last month alone as the bank continues to face serious operating headwinds despite the repeated assurances from CEO Vikram Pandit that Citi had "turned a corner."
The company's most recent earnings release, however, suggested otherwise. The 52-week high of $5.15 in C is now but a distant memory. The 52-week share price performance, however, is at least better than some of its competitors, as the stock has gained just under 13%.
