iStar Financial Plummeting On Bloomberg Report (SFI)


Shares of iStar Financial (NYSE: SFI) are experiencing tremendous volatility in the wake of a Bloomberg report which states that the company may file for bankruptcy protection in 2011. The stock initially dropped more than 20%, but has regained some of those losses. Currently it is 16% lower at $3.37.

iStar Financial Inc. is a finance company focused on the commercial real estate industry. The Company primarily provides financing to high-end private and corporate owners of real estate, including senior and mezzanine real estate debt, senior and mezzanine corporate capital, as well as corporate net lease financing and equity.
