Benjamin Netanyahu was on Fox Business Network yesterday and he discussed the Jerusalem settlements, achieving peace with Palestine, among other things.
Regarding the Jerusalem issue, Netanyahu said, "“That will be an issue that we'll discuss but I think it's overblown…you are talking about a handful of apartments that really don't affect the [peace] map at all contrary to impressions that might be perceived from certain news reports. So it's a minor issue that might be turned to a major issue. I think this is wrong.”
Netanyahu touched on Palestine. He said, "“Peace is going to be tough… but I think it's in our common interest to get it. It depends on their willingness to recognize Israel, to recognize the Jewish state as we recognize the Palestinian state to end the conflict.”
He also touched on Israel's economy, with regards to the U.S. Netanyahu said, "“We are a speedboat and you are a cruise ship so there's a difference. As the captain of the speedboat, we've followed a certain policy that's been good for us but I don't determine it's good for every country.”
