It's the question on everyone's mind: is Detroit a city that investors, entrepreneurs and other business professionals should explore?

“Well, running Detroit Venture Partners – it's a venture capital firm right here in Detroit – I would encourage all investors to stay away,” Josh Linkner, founder and former CEO of ePrize, said facetiously. “There's nothing good here at all. No great ideas, no talent, no good deals on real estate. Just stay happy, sip your Frappuccinos in San Diego. We have nothing good going on here. I wouldn't even bother.”

Getting serious, Linkner provided one last bit of advice.

“Creativity and innovation have become the currency of success,” he said. “It's an amazing gift that we all have as human beings. And I think our job as entrepreneurs and business leaders and community leaders is to unleash that creative potential that lives within us all.”
