George Soros Wants Free Weed

George Soros wants to legalize pot, and is putting his money where his bong is. Soros contributed $1 million to Proposition 19, a ballot measure that would legalize marijuana in California, according to papers filed by the secretary of state's office today. The Wall Street Journal also published a piece by Soros in favor of legalizaing it. In the piece Soros wrote, "The criminalization of marijuana did not prevent marijuana from becoming the most widely used illegal substance in the United States and many other countries. But it did result in extensive costs and negative consequences." Soros is most famous for betting against the British pound in what became known as "Black Wednesday."
