Stocks Weakening into the Close

The U.S. stock market remains solidly in positive territory heading into Wednesday's close, but the major averages have pulled back from their best levels of the day. At last check, the Dow was roughly 89 points higher at 12,804. The high in the Dow for Wednesday was at 12,844. The S&P 500 had added a little more than 10 points to 13,368 while the Nasdaq was up 24 points, or 0.81%. Among the leading sectors have been financials, consumer discretionary, and capital goods.
