Creative Edge To Discuss Canadian Marijuana Industry At WeedStock Conference

Creative Edge Nutrition FITX is historically a supplement company, but that may soon change. Creative Edge is applying for a license from the Canadian government to distribute marijuana in the country. If successful, Creative Edge would be the first publicly traded company to grow and sell marijuana. The indications for capital raising are huge.

The company announced Friday that it will be one of select firms to discuss its business at the first annual Weedstock conference.

When CEO Bill Chaaban decided to pursue marijuana growth, not focus entirely on supplements, he had a monstrous task ahead of him. Chaaban explained to Marketfy’s 420 Investor how he rose to the challenge.

“I said ‘Okay - Well, you know what? I need to put the team together.' And so I canvassed the medical marijuana market in Canada and said ‘Okay, we really need to shock and awe.'"

"[T]he way I like to do things is: I don't like to do things small. I like to do ‘em big and I do them bold and I like to say, ‘I'm going to do something that no one's ever done before.' And I feed off of people saying that ‘You will never accomplish this and will never accomplish that'".

Creative Edge certainly has been putting together a strong team, as the company is trying to do as much as they can in house. Three recent appointments look to prepare the company for regulatory challenges. The chairman of the board spent a significant amount of time as a fraud examiner for the SEC and IRS, the chief medical officer has over 200 peer reviewed publications and reviews and another board member has significant financial experience at Fidelity and JP Morgan.

2014 has treated shares of Creative Edge well; it is up 1,090 percent year to date. Investors will not want to miss Creative Edge at the WeedStock conference.
