WB Discovery's Max Human Test Breaks The Internet: Why Everyone Is Laughing Out Loud

Prepare for a good chuckle as Warner Bros. Discovery Inc.’s WBD streaming service HBO’s recent rebranding to just “Max” has been accompanied by a hilarious “human test” — and it’s going viral on the internet.

What Happened: Last Tuesday, the company launched the rebranded version “Max” for a monthly subscription of $19.99 or the annual fee of @199.99.

While users have since bombarded social media with complaints about frequent crashes, lagging video streaming, screen blackouts and the fact that Mac users are now without an app, videos of some users trying to sign in to their Max account and going through somewhat eccentric human test questions has left the internet in stitches.

In these videos, it appears that when someone tries to sign in to their Max account, the platform asks them a bunch of questions to prove they are human.

For instance, one question states, “Click the arrows to sum the dice and match the number on the left.”

However, the thing is, in most of the pictures of the dice, the arrow hides some of the content, making it extremely difficult to do the simple math.

There’s also an audio challenge. This one, as the name suggests, plays audio. The question it asks is this — “Which option is a repeating pattern?”

Users need to type the option number and then press enter or done.

While the audios are also the very definition of hilarity, choosing the right option could be simple or simply mind-boggling.

Naturally, netizens had a quick laugh over it.

Why It’s Important: It is pertinent to note that the rebranded version of HBO Max is expected to deliver eight times more films and episodes in 4K UHD content than its predecessor.

Besides the ultimate tier, the streaming service is available at two lower-priced subscription plans: Max Ad-Free and Max Ad-Lite at $15.99/month or $149.99 per annum and $9.99/month or $99.99 per year, respectively.
