This Wednesday, November 20 and Thursday, November 21, Marketfy will host its Inaugural
Holiday Trading Summit
.
Retro Wall Street's
Timothy Collins and Bob Byrne are among the world-leading experts who will reveal six proven strategies. "If you're looking at a normal chart, let's say the S&P 500, Volume Profile allows the trader to look inside the trading and see where prices, through volume, are being accepted or rejected," Byrne told Benzinga. "From an intraday trading standpoint, it can allow a trader -- instead of looking at a simple bar chart or a simple candlestick chart, using a Volume Profile allows that trader to see whether the prices that are trading are facilitating trade -- whether buyers and sellers are willing to participate." Byrne said that as the price is accepted at a higher level, it basically continues to trade higher. "That's obviously a simplistic approach to it," he said. "But it's generally an auction theory. The market's an auction, right? So using a profile allows you to view it as such." To be clear, Byrne said this is not a trading system. "That tends to, in a way, scare people off," he added. "Everyone wants a little box that tells them what to buy or sell. The problem with that is every system either has fatal flaws or eventually stops working." But if you can learn to read or view the market in a way that's
not
a system, Byrne said that it won't "go out of style." "As long as the market is an auction, Volume Profile is an incredibly helpful tool." While Byrne focuses on Volume Profiling, Collins said that he is more of a stock and options guy. "I'm going to be talking [about] the idea of the weekly options, which are still quite new for a lot individuals," said Collins. "[I'll] go over what I see as the strengths and weaknesses that weekly options provide, not only from a strategy standpoint, but also the idea of very short-term intraday trading (which we call scalping) to swing trading." Collins will also discuss how to use them as hedges, "specifically in binary events, like an FDA decision or an earnings announcement," he said. "[I'll also give] an overview of what I see as the strongest ways to use weekly options, [and] what I find are the weaknesses or mistakes that a lot of traders make while using weekly options," said Collins. Byrne and Collins have a lot to teach, but that's not the only reason to attend Marketfy's Inaugural Holiday Trading Summit. When you register for the event, Marketfy will proudly donate a holiday meal to a child in need. It's Marketfy's way of giving back this holiday season.
