As of this writing, LunoWear has obtained over $247,000 funding through its campaign, far exceeding the $10,000 original goal.

The watchmaker has been on a mission to create affordable and all-natural wrist wear from the get go and the history of the company's founders is deeply rooted in four generations of the watchmaking industry. From the prospect email, "The co-founders of the company have been lifelong friends: Bo is the 4th generation in his family to pursue a career in watchmaking, and Ryan joined him on his venture, after spending time in China and launching a few companies."

The watches themselves are light-weight, classy and come in a variety of colors. Benzinga received two review models in black and red and passed them around the news team to try on and wear around. The watch is light and almost unnoticeable on the wrist, a nice feature for people that don't like to be weighed down by heavy wrist wear, and also isn't over flashy for those who like more subtle accessories.

The wood (or bamboo) casing appears durable despite feeling airy and contrasts nicely with whichever color is chosen. Currently, the watches are being sold at a discounted rate of $50 per unit as a 'thank you' to all the supporters of the campaign.
