Ooma Gets Four Fresh Patents In America

revealed that it was granted four new patents by the American Patent and Trademark Office. These were in respect of its business, as well as, consumer communication systems. Ooma CEO, Eric Stang, said that "As a company focused on innovative technology in the business and consumer communications industry, we continually invest in new products and services that are designed to better serve our customers." He added, "The backbone of these products and services is the intellectual property our engineers have developed that not only brings our customers the best possible solutions, but also keeps Ooma in a competitive position for continued growth and innovation." According to the company, the new patents included Patent Number: 9,225,626 Instant Second Line feature for Ooma Telo, Patent Number: 9,319,531 Distributed Call Routing in a VoIP System, Patent Number: 9,280,413 Redundant Encoding, and Patent Number: 9,282,133 Communicating Control Information within a Real-Time Stream. On Tuesday, the stock shed 0.55%.
