Watch These After-Hours Movers On Tuesday

Shares of Urban Outfitters, Inc. URBN were up more than 6 percent in Monday’s after-hours session following the announcement of the company’s second-quarter financial results.

The retailer reported earnings of $0.52 per share on revenue of $867.46 million, above the Street’s consensus earnings estimate of $0.49 per share, but below the sales estimate of $883.83 million.

Agilent Technologies Inc A was also moving after it reported earnings and revenue ($0.44 per share and $1.014 billion) above consensus and guidance.

Fabrinet FN was up about 2.65 percent on its earnings report. The small-cap tech company delivered earnings of $0.40 per share on revenue of $206.46 million, in line with the Street’s projection of $0.40 per share on revenue of $198.13 million.

Esperion Therapeutics Inc ESPR was the biggest gainer of the afternoon, having surged almost 9 percent after the bell rang. The company announced that after an End-of-Phase 2 meeting with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, it plans to initiate a Phase 3 clinical study of its cholesterol drug before the end of the year.

Another big winner was Sunedison Inc SUNE, up roughly 5.5 percent in after-hours trading, after management announced that the company formed a $1 billion fund for the construction and purchase of assets in the solar energy arena. A Barron's article explains that, “The so-called warehouse investment vehicle is backed by $300 million in equity financing from West Street Infrastructure Partners III,” and has $700 million in debt financing. West Street is an investment vehicle of Goldman Sachs Group Inc GS.
