Toyota announced today that it will be recalling 1.5 million vehicles for potential brake and fuel system problems, according to
CNN.
The automaker has reported that it is sending recall notices to owners of 599,000 Toyota and Lexus models manufactured between 2001 and 2005, and an additional 930,000 vehicles sold overseas, according to Paul Nolasco, spokesman for Toyota.
Details on the recall in other countries is not immediately available, but cars in the U.S. are receiving notices for brake master cylinders, while in the U.K. the recalls are for brake systems and for fuel pump recalls in Toyota Avalon, non-hybrid Highlander models and Lexus RX 330, GS 300, IS 250-350 models.
