European markets are now closed. Stocks markets across Europe performed as follows: The U.K. FTSE surged 2.7%. The German DAX gained 2.7%. The French CAC soared 3.8%. The Spanish IBEX rose 3.5%. The Portuguese PSI gained 1.0%. The euro is currently up 0.91% against the dollar to 1.28.
