For this installment, we spoke with Trigger Finance CEO Rachel Mayer.

Trigger Finance is an award-winning, mobile-first investing platform that helps remove emotion from the investing process by investing through simple “IF this, THEN that” rules. Simply link your existing brokerage account and immediately begin investing and creating triggers around your portfolio. You can say things like, “If the Fed raises interest rates, then sell SPY,” or “If oil goes below $20, then sell Exxon.” Tens of thousands of investors use Trigger to capture new opportunities and better manage close to $200 million in assets. Trigger most recently released Trump triggers, which have gone a bit viral in just a short span of time.

How long have you been in business?

The company was founded in summer of 2015, and we launched the product for iOS in Summer 2016.

New York City in the NYTimes Building.

Who is your company's leadership? What kind of experience do they have?

The Trigger team is highly technical with backgrounds spanning finance and trading JPM) and tech GOOG GOOGL) and has years of experience shipping novel mobile experiences. The leadership team include Rachel Mayer (CEO), Zafrir Schop (chief technology officer) and Adrian Soghoian (chief operations officer).
