Raymond Chang is a serial entrepreneur, an accomplished executive, and an active investor. He currently serves as the Chairman and CEO of Agrify Corporation, a leading provider of innovative cultivation and extraction solutions for the cannabis industry and one of the only ancillary cannabis companies listed on Nasdaq (Nasdaq:AGFY). Mr. Chang is also the Managing Director of NXT Ventures, an early-stage investment firm based in the Boston area, and a Co-Founder and Trustee at New England Innovation Academy, the first middle and high school that prepares future innovators and entrepreneurs to shape the world through human-centered design. Additionally, Mr. Chang has served as a Lecturer in the Practice of Entrepreneurship at the Yale School of Management and as an Adjunct Professor in Entrepreneurship at Babson College in recent years. Earlier in his career, Mr. Chang founded GigaMedia, the first broadband technology company in Asia, and Luckypai, a leading TV shopping company in China. Under Mr. Chang’s leadership, GigaMedia went public on Nasdaq (Nasdaq:GIGM) in 2000 and raised $280 million in one of the largest IPOs for an internet company at the time, and Luckypai raised venture financing from Lightspeed Venture Partners, DT Capital, Intel, Lehman Brothers, and Goldman Sachs before being acquired by Lotte Group, one of the largest Asian conglomerates based in Korea, for $160 million in 2010. Mr. Chang also served as the CEO of New Focus Auto, the largest automobile after-sales service company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKSE:0360.HK), and he helped execute the sale of New Focus Auto to CDH Investments, one of the largest private equity firms based in Asia. Mr. Chang received his BA from New York University, MBA from Yale School of Management, and MPA from Harvard Kennedy School.
