Matt Darin is CEO of Curaleaf. As the former Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Grassroots Cannabis, Matt grew Grassroots to become the largest privately-held multi-state operator in the United States with 1,200 employees and more than 70 licenses to grow, process, and dispense cannabis in 12 states. Grassroots was acquired by Curaleaf in July 2020; Matt then served as President of Curaleaf’s Central Region with leadership responsibility for the company’s strategy and execution in 8 states.

Prior to his 7 years in the cannabis industry, Matt was a Founder and Principal with Frontline Real Estate Partners. Frontline celebrated its 10 year anniversary in 2010 and is one of the most active commercial real estate companies in the Midwest.

Matt graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science with honors in Accounting and Bachelor of Science with honors in Business Administration – Management Information Systems.
