Constantin von der Groeben is a co-founder and managing director of DEMECAN, where he oversees the legal and human resources departments as well as the areas of public relations and business development. His expertise was instrumental in shaping the legalization of cannabis in Germany, including serving as an expert consultant to the German Bundestag. Before founding DEMECAN in 2017, Constantin gained valuable experience as government advisor in the Federal Ministry of Economics as well as working as a lawyer in Berlin and New York, focusing on regulated industries. During his legal clerkship, he also worked in the office of Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier in the SPD parliamentary group, who is now the President of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Constantin holds a Ph.D. in International Law from the University of Cologne and an LL.M. from NYU Law School.
