Our editorial team here at Benzinga is constantly monitoring and reviewing new and innovative companies in the Cannabis Industry. Each year, our editorial team adds Zingy-Worthy companies into the mix where they see fit. Editorial nominations are subjected to the same judging criteria as all self-nominations.

Top 3 Finalists:

The top three finalists in each category will be announced one week before the live awards ceremony. These are the nominees that were rated highest in each category by our independent panel of judges.

During the live Awards Ceremony at our September 2023 Cannabis Capital Conference, we will crown the winner in each category of the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference Awards.

Industry Judging Categories

All completed nominations will be reviewed by the independent members of the Benzinga Cannabis Judges Panel. Our judges are senior-level executives with diverse backgrounds and are recognized for their expertise in the Cannabis industry. Once the review process has concluded, all finalists and winners will be notified directly via email. Due to the high volume of entries we receive each year, only finalists and winners will be notified directly of the outcome. All dates and deadlines surrounding submissions and announcements will be listed on our website.

• Stand Out! Each judge has several nominations to review and evaluate. Make sure yours is memorable and easy to read.
• Proofread: Have a fresh pair of eyes look over your application before submitting to ensure that the criteria is met and to check spelling and grammar.
• Get your submission in early! The application fee goes up monthly until the submission deadline. Submit early to get the best deal! Don’t worry, no submissions are looked at until the submission deadline passes, so you are able to edit your application through the deadline date.
• Categories: Nominations can be submitted in more than one category, however, each submission is seen as separate. Be sure that you have selected the category that best suits your nomination and that you have exemplified your strengths in that category.

• All submissions must be in English.
• Submissions can be made until 23:59 ET on entry deadline day.
• Although multiple submissions are encouraged, each must be unique and tailored to demonstrate its strengths in the specific category.
• All Applications must be completely filled out and meet the requirements stated in the application. Refunds are not given to those that are submitted but do not meet the requirements.
• Finalists and winners are chosen from the scores given by our independent panel of expert judges to the judging criteria.
• Judges with conflicts of interest in categories will not participate in the judging of those categories.
• Only materials provided within the application form will be considered by the judges. This includes any brochures, white papers, login credentials, demo videos, etc.
• The logos and photos of winners may be featured at the ceremony and during post-event marketing campaigns.
• Eligibility: The competition is open to all individuals, companies, and organizations producing Cannabis products and services. An entry must be completed and submitted before the submission deadline date for the current year. Benzinga has the right to disqualify any entries not meeting these requirements without notice or refund.
• Can you win a different category than you applied for? Benzinga reserves the right to recategorize submissions for any reason including, the nominee did not fit well into the category applied for or the nominee fit well into another category that had less initial applications.
• Editorial Nominations: Our editorial team reserves the right to add companies that did not self-nominate to the nomination pool. Editorial nominations are subjected to the same judging criteria as all self-nominations.
