Week-To-Date ETF Leaders and Laggards: SLX, KRE
According to ETFChannel.com the Steel ETF (SLX) is outperforming other ETFs this week, up about 2.6%. Components of that ETF showing particular strength this week include shares of Schnitzer Steel Industries (SCHN), up about 8.8% and shares of Cliffs Natural Resources (CLF), up about 6.4% on the week.
And underperforming other ETFs so far this week is the SPDR KBW Regional Banking ETF (KRE), down about 7.9% this week. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing for the week were shares of Pinnacle Financial Partners (PNFP), lower by about 28.9%, and shares of Hancock Holding (HBHC), lower by about 15.9% on the week.
Other ETF standouts this week include the iShares MSCI USA Index Fund (EUSA), outperforming this week with a 2.4% gain. And the SPDR KBW Bank ETF (KBE) was an underperformer, falling about 6.6% this week.
