• Rosenblatt out positive on Applied Optoelectronics Inc AAOI, says research suggests co. has gained share at Facebook vs. Innolight and thinks it could pull in more orders for Q2 due to aggressive pricing and quality issues at Innolight.
• Goldman Sachs raises Netflix, Inc. NFLX price target from $315 to $360, believes co. will experience global benefit scale from its sub base, distribution network and content library.
• Stifel says AeroVironment, Inc. AVAV boasts a “pipeline of opportunities,” deep customer penetration. Upgraded stock from Hold to Buy and raised price target from $45 $65.
• Aegis defending Facebook Inc FB, says although the Cambridge Analytica crisis will linger for some time, they see a pullback in shares as a buying opportunity as Zuckerberg did well in Tuesday’s testimony; believes co. is unlikely to see an exodus in users.
• Buckingham Research Group initiates coverage on Caterpillar Inc. CAT with a Buy rating and $170 price target implying 17 percent upside including dividend; Says stock underperformance since Q4 earnings present buying opportunity as co. is in early stages of expansion and is positioned to see over 30 percent EPS growth this year.
• Tigress Research downgrades VeriFone Systems, Inc. PAY from Buy to Neutral after co. entered into agreement with Francisco Partners to be acquired for 54 percent premium; Believes co. will not receive a higher offer during the “go shop” period expiring May 24.
