Jefferies Issues A Handful Of Downgrades On Gas And Energy Stocks

Jefferies turned bearish and downgraded some gas and energy stocks amid drop in NGL supplies, lower product pricing and cancellation of contracted export cargoes.

Following are the rating changes of the brokerage:

  • Southwest Gas Corporation (NYSE: SWX) to Underperform
  • Williams Partners LP (NYSE: WPZ) to Hold
  • ONE Gas Inc (NYSE: OGS) to Underperform
  • AmeriGas Partners, L.P. (NYSE: APU) to Hold
  • NiSource Inc. (NYSE: NI) to Underperform

At the time of writing, shares/units of:

  • Southwest Gas slipped 1.22 percent to $77.87
  • Williams Partners dropped 2.12 percent to $36.52
  • ONE Gas fell 1.41 percent to $65.17
  • AmeriGas Partners gained 0.18 percent to $48.84
  • NiSource fell 1.09 percent to $25.98
