Gabelli & Company recently released its Best Ideas report for 2016. Here is what analysts had to say about the firm’s top consumer stocks.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. (NYSE: LVS)

Analyst Adam Trivision believes that “now, with Macau sentiment extremely poor and tax loss selling (likely) impacting the stock price, the risk-reward dynamics are favorable enough for us to recommend LVS as our best idea for 2016.”

Edgewell Personal Care Co (NYSE: EPC)

Analyst Sarah Donnelly says that Edgewater “may be an attractive acquisition candidate to strategic buyers” and currently sports an “attractive valuation.”

CST Brands Inc (NYSE: CST)

Analyst Damian Witkowski notes that CST “continues to make progress on its goals to maximize fuel margins and improve merchandise sales and profitability.”

Snyder’s-Lance Inc (NASDAQ: LNCE)

Analyst Joseph Gabelli estimates that Snyder’s-Lance “should realize $65 million of net cost synergies from the [Diamond Foods, Inc (NASDAQ: DMND)] deal within the first two years, while also refinancing Diamond’s relatively high-cost debt, and utilizing its sizeable tax-loss carryforwards.”

T. Rowe Price Group Inc (NASDAQ: TROW)

Analyst Macrae Sykes like’s the company’s “world class management” and “Industry leading margins close to 50%.”
