  • BlackBerry Ltd BBRY shares have lost 32 percent year-to-date, remaining below the $8 mark since late July.
  • JP Morgan’s Rod Hall said that the Good Technology acquisition may allow BlackBerry to make its own BES solutions that are relevant for enterprise mobility management.

BlackBerry has completed the acquisition of Good Technology Corp GDTC. BlackBerry announced that it will integrate Good’s software solutions and services with its own software suites.

The company indicated that it has natural platform synergies with Good and once the integration is completed, it would offer the best of containerization and EMM, leveraging its global network infrastructure.

BlackBerry expects the acquisition to be accretive to earnings and cash flow within the first year after closing, and has projected incremental GAAP revenues of about $160 million from Good in year one.

“We see the Good asset as a positive addition for BlackBerry that may allow the company to make their own BES solutions relevant again for enterprise mobility management,” analyst Rod Hall stated.
