In an exclusive Benzinga phone interview, Tigress Financial Analyst Ivan Feinseth lauded "tremendous visionary" Elon Musk on his stationary storage battery. In bold commentary, Ivan said that this development is the "missing link in augmenting solar applications". The two consumers of this battery that will benefit most are utilities sector along with residential users. Ivan believes the first market to be aided most in terms of uninterrupted battery power would be sick or elderly residential users who have essential medical equipment at home. When asked whether medical companies would be an ancillary consumer of the new storage system, Ivan replied "it would make sense". The battery will be a lower cost solution to current grid users and Ivan believes the lease concept is a business savvy way to have continuous users as opposed to one time buyers. The lease concept for stationary storage would create a service revenue for Tesla with the implementation, upkeep, support, and replacement of battery storage systems. Tigress Financial has no conflicts of interest and a Neutral rating, Tesla is currently trading up 7.27% at $234.30/Share during mid-day trading.
