In a note out Monday, Bank of America analysts argue that investors should neither fear, nor rejoice, in the end of QE. They dispute the serious inflation threat or bubble risk that some observers attached to QE, feeling that overall it was a small stimulus to the economy and hence will be a small de-stimulus as well. B of A goes on to note that the end of QE is largely factored into the markets, and that both Japan and Europe are continuing to provide historic stimulus measures to offset the end of QE in the U.S. In a final comment, they state the Fed can always return with more QE if needed.
