Summit Research Comments on Applied Materials Merger

Earlier Today, Summit Research released comments regarding Applied Materials, Inc.'s

merger with Tokyo Electron. At Summit, the main concerns remain issues surrounding the different jurisdictions and what the game plan is. At Summit they are looking for Applied Materials' management to say, during its conference call, that it expects the deal to come to a close by the end of the year or perhaps even in November. Additionally, as Applied Materials is gearing up to report its third quarter earnings on Thursday, the Summit analysts noted that they "do not at all worry" about the company's performance in this quarter and even into 2015.
