CNN Money's Paul La Monica Does Not Expect Southwest Airlines to Acquire AMR

states that he has not heard the earlier rumor that Southwest Airline

is in talks to acquire AMR Corp

. He goes on to state that he does not believe this is true because he is not sure if Southwest would want to do another major acquisition so soon after its acquisition of AirTran. Share of AMR Corp are trading over 65% higher at $1.18 and shares of Southwest are trading about 0.5% higher.
