Brean Murray Carret & Co Reports On Hard Drive Supply Chain

Brean Murray Carret & Co has issued a report on the state of the hard drive supply chain. According to the report, "Contrary to recent reports (press and otherwise), we believe the hard drive supply chain remains adequately supplied through (at least) the June Q (both desktop and notebook). Additionally, at this point we wouldn't expect an impact to 2H11 either unless unforeseen events were to take place. Our work suggests ample supply for drive component demand not just for the Mar Q but for the Jun Q as well; and in fact, it's our belief that that drive supply chain companies (as well as our drive finished product vendors Western Digital and Seagate) are almost completely focused on potential end-demand impacts, and much less so on potential component supply constraints."
