In a report published by Sterne Agee, Corning Incorporated's GLW C2Q looking better with large panel pricing, and inventory levels normal.
Sterne Agee reported that its checks in the TV supply chain indicate March quarter TV shipments progressing in-line with expectations. “TV channel inventory in the U.S. is at normal levels. Checks with suppliers including Vizio indicate price elasticity is still strong in the U.S. Vizio was the largest TV OEM in the U.S. in C4Q10, we believe close to 28% share in the U.S. and with its U.S. sales ahead of Samsung (005930.KS, 924000, Not Rated). We believe Vizio TV sales increased 50-60% Q/Q in C4Q10, showing significant price elasticity in the U.S.”
Corning closed on Friday at $22.92.
