Goldman Sachs' Global Internet Notables Summary
Goldman Sachs has published a research report on Global Internet Notables for the week of October 11, 2010.
In the report, Goldman Sachs writes "For the week ending Monday, October 11, 2010, the market-weighted Internet average increased 1.7% week over week, underperforming the NASDAQ, up 2.5%, and the S&P 500, up 2.5%. This report contains news from the latest week and a valuation summary. At a dinner we hosted with the co-founders of three digital media agencies, most agreed that September ad spend and advertiser sentiment was a bit softer than expected. Nevertheless, spend increased at least high teens yoy, decelerating slightly from 2Q, and generally in-line with our +18% yoy estimate for Google's ad revenue. All agreed that advertisers postponed budgets from September with the intent to spend heavily in 4Q."
