Wedbush Expects Another Decline In August Video Game Sales

In a recent report by Wedbush Equity Research, August retail video game console software sales is to be released after the market close on September 9. Wedbush says to expect another decline based on weak projected year over year sales. The number expected is $445 million, down 6% compared to last year's $471 million. The down number is based on a lighter release schedule and weak catalog sales momentum even though July hardware sales were up. Wedbush expects August's top selling titles to be Electronic Arts
