Goldman Sachs Reports on Healthcare Conference
Reporting from the 31st Annual Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) Healthcare Conference in Los Angeles, soft volumes are benefiting managed care and pressuring provider companies. Other key trends reported from the 11 participating healthcare companies include "diminished uncertainty on health reform regulations and a stronger outlook for Medicaid managed care."
Goldman also notes that a recovery of price discipline is now seen for the ASO business, and a changing tax policy is credited for accelerating provider acquisitions.
