PostNord Renews CGI Contract - Analyst Blog

CGI Group, Inc. GIB announced that PostNord, a leading communications and logistics solutions provider, has renewed its application outsourcing contract with CGI until May 2017.

Per the contract, CGI will continue to act as PostNord's strategic partner. It will offer its extensive application development and management services for the core part of PostNord's application portfolio, which includes applications like SAP for internal and external users.

CGI was first chosen by PostNord in 2010, with the aim of streamlining the cost structure and improving the quality of service delivery. Over time, CGI's delivery model has been enhanced to enable high-quality services at competitive charges. In addition, CGI provides a higher degree of flexibility and better availability. These attributes benefit PostNord's operations and are expected to drive growth.

CGI won the contract renewal on the basis of its widespread footprint in the Nordics, coupled with global delivery capabilities and proven expertise in application management.

Earlier this week, CGI renewed another existing service contract with Yellow Pages Group, a Canada-based major digital media and marketing solutions provider. A long-time information technology services provider to Yellow Pages, CGI will deliver application and infrastructure services to the former until the end of 2023.
