Opera Browser and Browser Speeds

I just started using the Opera browser today, and did some browser speed tests using Speed-Battle and found Opera to be much faster than Internet Explorer by a huge difference, e.g. average scores for Opera of around 200 vs. 20 for IE. I'm getting even higher scores for Firefox (around 250) and Safari (around 300 and higher).
