Kroger Higher After Q1 Beat

The Kroger Co KR shares are trading higher by $0.78 at $36.49 in Thursday's session. The catalyst for the rally is a Q1 EPS beat of a penny along with a slight beat for revenues.

Off the open, it immediately found resistance at $36.98 and pulled back sharply to $36.15. The high coincides with May 16 highs at $36.94.

Since making the low, it made another run at the $37 area but was turned back at $36.94.
