General Motors Company GM shares are trading higher by $0.61 at $30.91 in Wednesday's session. Before the open, the company announced increased earnings outlook for 2016 and plans to increase returns to shareholders.
Shortly after the announcement, the issue bolted to $32.18 in pre-market trading. However, off the opening bell it peaked at $31.90 and began to pare some of its gains. The current high coincides with its January 6 high ($31.98).
So far, it has retreated to $30.88 and is attempting to reclaim the $31 handle.
