S&P 500 index futures are trading lower by eight points at 2114 in Tuesday's session. During the premarket session, the index came close to its all time high (2126.25), but stopped shy at 2125). However, off the open it found resistance just ahead of its all time high close (2122), peaking at 2121.75 before declining to 2013.50. A majority of the top ten stocks in the index are trading lower. Dragging the index down is its biggest component Apple Inc

shares which are trading lower by $1.47 at $130.60. It appears investors are cashing out on its $10 plus run since July 9 ahead of its Q3 report after the close. It is followed on the downside by Facebook

shares which are trading lower by $0.40 at $97.51. Earlier in the session it came within shouting distance of the century peaking at $99.24 before reversing course. The lone substantial gainer is Exxon Mobil (NYSE: XOM0 shares which are trading higher by $0.43 at $82.20.
