Collins regarding the approval of the first 13 human embryonic stem cell (hESC) lines for use in NIH-funded research, shares of StemCells Inc (NASDAQ: STEM), Geron Corp (NASDAQ: GERN) and Aastrom Biosciences Inc (NASDAQ: ASTM) are seeing unusual movement.
StemCells Inc (NASDAQ: STEM) shares have spiraled up by 24.07% to $1.34 so far today. STEM focuses on the research, development and commercialization of products derived from stem cell technologies.
Geron Corp (NASDAQ: GERN) shares have risen by 10.85% to $6.03. GERN develops therapeutic products for the treatment of cancer and chronic degenerative diseases, such as spinal cord injury, heart failure and diabetes.
