ETFs To Watch November 13, 2009
Here is the ETF Professor's ETF Watchlist for November 13, 2009.
The Professor mentioned the iPath S&P 500 VIX Short Term Futures ETN (NYSE: VXX) bouncing off a double bottom chart formation on Thursday, so let's see if fears about the market's rally persist. If they do, VXX should move higher.
With energy issues once again seeing some pressure, the ProShares UltraShort Oil & Gas ETF (NYSE: DUG) might be a good play on Friday. The Oil Services HOLDRs (AMEX: OIH) could be another candidate for Friday trade after losing more than 3% on Thursday.
Another energy play: Energy Select SPDR (NYSE: XLE).
The iShares MSCI Brazil Index (NYSE: EWZ) has seen some heavy selling pressure over the past few days, so put it on your list for Friday.
Morgan Stanley is saying the Aussie dollar is extremely overvalued, so let's see if the CurrencyShares Australian Dollar Trust (NYSE: FXA) reacts to that news.
If you want a broad approach to the market on Friday, try the Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (NYSE: VTI).
The Professor also mentioned the SPDR KBW Bank ETF (NYSE: KBE) and the bearish options in that name on Thursday, so keep an eye on it Friday.
The iShares Barclays 7-10 Year Treasury ETF (NYSE: IEF) had a nice bounce higher at around noon on Thursday and may go higher if stocks falter.
