ETFs To Profit From Higher Orange Juice Consumption With
The ETF Professor isn't going to take credit for this idea, but he did read an interesting post somewhere else that made the case for increased orange juice consumption as Swine Flu fears increase.
Last week, the Professor mentioned a sugar ETN as a great way to get exposure to the volatile commodity, but there is no similar offering tracking orange juice.
That said, there are a couple of products that may get a boost from higher orange juice prices. The UBS E-TRACS CMCI Food Total Return ETN (NYSE: FUD) holds a basket of agriculuture futures contracts, including OJ, but OJ only accounts for 2.5% of the ETN's holdings.
The PowerShares Dynamic Food & Beverage Portfolio (NYSE: PBJ) holds shares of food makers like ConAgra (NYSE: CAG) and Archer Daniels Midland (NYSE: ADM) and could see a bounce if orange juice prices move higher.
Just an idea from the ETF Professor.
