Real Estate Outperforms On a Bad Day (VNQ, SNH)

Real estate outperformed the general market as gold and commodities fell and the US Dollar gained.

Senior Housing Properties Trust (NYSE: SNH) actually was up close to 1% today on general REIT strength and a positive initial coverage rating by JMP Securities. JMP initiated coverage of the REIT with a 'Market Outperform' rating.
