Internet Service Providers: The top gainer of the day, this industry added 0.90% by 1:52 pm. The top gainer within the industry was Internet Initiative Japan Inc (NASDAQ: IIJI), which jumped 7.19%. IIJI provides Internet connectivity, outsourcing and network integration services to customers in Japan and the US.

Gold: This industry climbed 0.18% by 1:52 p.m. ET. The top performer in this industry was Tanzanian Royalty Exploration Corp (AMEX: TRE) which added 2.18%. TRE had confirmed initial expectations of significant gold discovery in the Msonga area at its Kigosi project.

Security & Protection Services: This industry moved down 0.08% by 2:44 pm, with Checkpoint Systems Inc (NYSE: CKP) climbing 7.38% to gain the top spot. Analysts at Robert W Baird upgraded CKP from “neutral” to “outperform.”

General Contractors: The industry, which fell by 0.78%, has the top gainer in the form of Quanta Services Inc (NYSE: PWR). PWR gained 2.25% to trade at $19.15. Quanta Services had announced strong Q1 results.

Personal Products: This industry lost 1% and has the top performer in the form of Elizabeth Arden Inc (NASDAQ: RDEN). RDEN moved up 6.23% to trade at $17.90. RDEN had posted narrower-than-expected Q3 losses and has raised its profit forecasts driven by strong international growth and improved gross margins.
