Top Narrow Based Indexes For April 9 (CASY, GENT, EFUT)
Markets remained on the upswing for a second consecutive day today, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining 38.54, or 0.35%, to 10,965.61 and Nasdaq added 10.10 or 0.41%. Some of the few narrow based indexes that are driving the market up are the Grocery Store Stocks, which have gained 2.9%, Italy Stocks and ADRs, up 2.7%, and Chinese IT Stocks, moving 2.4% higher as a group.
In Tickerspy's Grocery Store Stocks complex, Caseys General Stores (NASDAQ: CASY) has jumped 23.58%. CASY has received a hostile bid worth $1.9 billion.
The best performing stock in the Tickerspy Italy Stocks and ADRs category has been Gentium SpA (NASDAQ: GENT), which soared 31.30%. Shares of GENT have been rallying since late March, following the company’s statement of a possible filing for US and European approvals of its new hematology drug Defibrotide by the end of the second quarter of 2011.
